Aura PS Pillow Talk aka"Athena"
Our first Nigerian Dwarf doe, Athena comes from quality milking lines, and received a first place award in the Dairy Jr. Doe breeding class at our local fair in July 2013. She's got great personality and is a very loving and affectionate doe. We're excited to get her in the breeding pen again in August or September as she had a beautiful udder, but wasn't milked or fed grain in my absence after the death of her only buck kid. She was a very good mother though while she had him, and we're hoping for at least two kids this next season to make it a little easier on her and get her wonderful genetics to spread a little farther. She had beautiful udder and gave me 1 1/2 quarts of milk a day before he production ceased. Even though her udder is nice this year, I'm excited to see what she can do for us next year. She will be bred along with Annabelle to an outside buck in late August, early September.
The pictures we have of her don't do her any justice, we'll try and get new photos in the upcoming weeks.

Painted Quercus Annabelle aka "Baby Belle"
Annabelle came home on 3/29/14 from Painted Oaks Ranch in Tehachapi, CA. She's a beautiful little girl with a great personality that's easy to fall in love with. She's almost always any guests favorite as she usually makes herself at home on your lap as soon as you sit down somewhere in her pen. She's a great little girl that, as soon as I can get her to behave properly when being shown, will go to a few state shows later this year and some time next year as well. I'm enjoying watching her grow up and develop into a beautiful little doe. She will be bred some time in August or September to an outside buck for Jan-Feb kids. These pictures were taken 6/13/14.

Sunfire Sapphire aka "Spitfire"
Our first ever doe kid born here, Sapphire has grown on us all and we've decided she will be a keeper. We're hoping the Rosaharn lines from her Dam's side and the good milk tests and awesome show wins from her Sire's side will be passed down onto this little girl. She's got great conformation, is the head honcho in the group of kids from this year, and is as friendly as a puppy. She's the perfect little girl all rolled up into one fuzzy form. We're hoping she does really well this next year in the show ring and will be bred August of 2015 for 2016 kids.

Aura AR Bambi aka "Zoey"
Zoey is out of Aura Acres lines, she belongs to some family but is staying with us until her kids are weaned and we can trade her for another doe. Zoey was bred to our one and only Nigerian Dwarf buck. She gave us three beautiful kids, two does and a buck on 6/23/14 and we got our keeper doe Sapphire from her. She has a nicely shaped udder and her teats fill in tell, but she only gives us about a quart of milk a day. We hope that with her next breeding she will have a larger udder and will be easier to milk. Photos were taken 6/12/14
